WHAT IS RAPE?

Rape is a form of sexual violence. There are many different manifestations of sexual violence including; sexual abuse (including in childhood), sexual assault, sexual harassment, forced marriage, so-called honour-based violence, female genital mutilation (FGM), trafficking, sexual exploitation (including child sexual exploitation), and more

More often than not sexual violence is perpetrated by someone known and even trusted.

Sexual violence can happen to anyone. It is not something in which people deserve or ask for.

If yourself or someone you love has been affected by any form of sexual violence, I have listed several different support groups on the support page
